Terms of Service

1Who can use Snaparoo

You must be at least 13 years old to use Snaparoo. When you sign up, you confirm that you are. You must be able to form a binding contract and not be barred from using Snaparoo under applicable law.

2Your account

You can sign up with Apple, Google, or an email code. You're responsible for keeping access to your account secure and for activity under it. Tell us right away at support@snaparoo.me if you think someone else is using your account. If you sign in with Apple or Google using an email address that already has a Snaparoo account, that sign-in is linked to the existing account. Your name, username, and profile photo are visible to other Snaparoo users. If you turn on "Discoverable in search," people can find you by name, username, or exact email address.

3Snaparoo is free

Snaparoo is currently free to use. Free accounts have limits, such as how many photos you can keep and how many sends can be pending at once; your current limits appear in the app. We may change these limits, or offer paid features in the future. If we do, we'll tell you what they cost before you're charged, and paid features will be offered only in ways allowed by the app store you use.

4Your photos

You own your photos. Snaparoo doesn't claim ownership of anything you upload. To run Snaparoo, you give Two Dog Media a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host, store, copy, process, and display your photos and other content, only as needed to provide Snaparoo to you and to the people you choose. Processing includes creating smaller versions and removing location data. This license ends when you delete the content or your account, except for copies that others own (see section 5) and copies we must keep by law. You confirm you have the rights to the photos you upload and to share them as you do.

5Sending, and who can see your photos

Snaparoo has two ways to share: Send gives someone their own copy of a photo or album. Once they keep it, that copy belongs to them, and deleting yours doesn't delete theirs. When you send, you can choose to keep your own copy or have it move to them. You can send to Snaparoo users or create a link for someone who isn't on Snaparoo; whoever opens that link and keeps the photo gets their own copy. Unopened sends expire and can be cancelled before they're kept. Who can see lets people view a photo without getting a copy: - New photos and photos not in an album are visible only to you. - Each album is either Only me or Connections. Your built-in Shared album is visible to your connections. You can hide your Shared album from a specific connection. - You can let specific people view an album or photo. - You can create a view link that lets anyone with the link view an album or photo in a web browser, without a Snaparoo account. View links expire after the period you choose (30 days by default), stop working when you turn them off, and stop working if the album or photo is deleted. Viewing is view-only in Snaparoo, but anyone who can see a photo can take a screenshot or photograph their screen. Only share with people you trust.

6Asking for photos, and guests

You can ask for a photo by sharing a link or QR code. The people who use it ("guests") don't need an account. Photos a guest sends go to the person who asked, into the album they chose. A guest who sends photos confirms they have the right to send them and agrees that the requester may keep them under these Terms. Guests may save their own photos to their own device. A live event stops accepting photos when it ends or when the requester's storage is full.

7Connections, Feed, and reactions

You can connect with other users, see what they share with you in your Feed, and react to photos. Snaparoo has no comments. You can remove a connection at any time; when you do, you each stop seeing the other's shared albums, and photos already sent stay with whoever has them. Removing a connection doesn't notify the other person.

8Inviting people

You can invite someone by email. Only invite people you know and have a reasonable basis to contact. We send one invitation per address and limit how many invitations each user can send.

9Notifications

If you turn them on, Snaparoo sends notifications about photos for you, connection requests, your events, and a daily summary of reactions. You can turn each type off in Settings. We don't send marketing notifications.

10Rules for using Snaparoo

Don't use Snaparoo to: - Upload, send, or share anything illegal, including any sexual content involving a minor. We report child sexual abuse material to the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children and to law enforcement. - Upload sexually explicit content, or content that is violent, hateful, or harassing. - Share photos of people in private situations without their consent. - Bully, threaten, stalk, or impersonate anyone. - Infringe anyone's copyright, trademark, privacy, or other rights. - Spam people, including through invitations or links. - Break, probe, or overload Snaparoo, get around its limits or security, or access accounts or content that aren't yours. - Scrape or collect other users' information. As a good practice, check with a parent or guardian before sharing photos of someone else's child.

11Reporting, blocking, and moderation

You can report a photo, an album, or a user, and you can block anyone. Blocking stops them from seeing your content and contacting you through Snaparoo, and stops you seeing theirs. We review reports and act on them, typically within 24 hours. We may remove content, limit features, or suspend or end accounts that break these Terms or put others at risk, and we may do so without notice where needed for safety or legal reasons. We don't review content before it's shared, and our safety tools can't catch everything. Other users are responsible for what they share, and we aren't responsible for content they post.

13Snaparoo's rights

Snaparoo, including its name, logo, apps, website, and design, belongs to Two Dog Media, Inc. and is protected by intellectual property laws. These Terms let you use Snaparoo as described here; they don't give you any other rights in it. Don't use our name or logo without our permission.

14Third-party services

Snaparoo works with services from other companies, such as sign-in with Apple or Google and the app stores you download from. Your use of those services is governed by their own terms and privacy policies, and we aren't responsible for them.

15Deleting your account

You can delete your account in the app at any time. Deletion is immediate and can't be undone: your account, your photos, and your albums are removed. Copies you sent that others kept remain theirs. Photos you contributed to someone else's album stay in their album without your name. We may keep limited information where the law requires it or to prevent abuse. We may suspend or end your access if you break these Terms. Sections 4 (for content others own), 13, 16, 17, 18, 19, and 22 survive the end of these Terms.

16Disclaimers

Snaparoo is provided "as is" and "as available." To the fullest extent the law allows, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We don't promise Snaparoo will be uninterrupted or error-free, or that content will never be lost. Keep your own copies of photos that matter to you.

17Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent the law allows, Two Dog Media won't be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of data, photos, or profits, arising from your use of Snaparoo. Our total liability for any claim relating to Snaparoo is limited to the greater of $50 or the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim. Some places don't allow these limits, so they may not apply to you.

18Indemnity

You agree to defend and hold harmless Two Dog Media from claims arising from content you upload or share, or from your breaking these Terms or the law.

19Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. Any dispute will be brought in the state or federal courts located in Delaware, and you and we consent to their jurisdiction, except where your local law gives you the right to bring a claim where you live.

20Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms. If a change is significant, we'll tell you in the app and ask you to accept the new Terms before you continue using Snaparoo.

21App stores

If you downloaded Snaparoo from the Apple App Store, these Terms are between you and Two Dog Media, not Apple. Apple isn't responsible for Snaparoo or its support, and Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these Terms with the right to enforce them against you.

22General

These Terms and our Privacy Policy are the entire agreement between you and us about Snaparoo. If any part of these Terms can't be enforced, the rest stays in effect. If we don't enforce a part of these Terms, that isn't a waiver. You can't transfer your rights under these Terms to anyone else; we may transfer ours as part of a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets. Except for Apple as described in section 21, no one else has rights under these Terms.
