Privacy Policy

1What we collect

Account information: your email address, first and last name, username, and profile photo; the identifier Apple or Google provides if you sign in with them; and your confirmation that you're at least 13. We don't ask for your date of birth. If you sign in with Apple or Google using an email address that already has an account, we link that sign-in to the existing account. Your photos and content: photos you take or upload, and the albums, sends, links, asks, reactions, connections, blocks, and reports you create. When you upload a photo, we remove its location data before storing it. We keep other photo details, such as when it was taken. Guests: people who send photos through an Ask link don't need an account. We receive the photos they send and a random identifier for their visit, used only to count guests at an event. We don't ask guests for their name or contact details. People you invite: if you invite someone by email, we use their address to send one invitation, and we keep a record of it so we don't invite them again or let invitations be used for spam. We don't use it for anything else. Device and technical information: your app version, device platform, and time zone; a notification token if you turn on notifications; and logs such as IP address and request details, used to run Snaparoo securely and to fix problems. Website analytics: our website (not the Snaparoo apps) uses Google Analytics, which uses cookies, to understand how visitors use the site, such as pages viewed, referring sites, and approximate region. You can block cookies in your browser or use Google's Analytics opt-out. We don't collect your precise location, contacts, or payment information, and we don't use advertising identifiers.

2How we use it

We use your information to: - Run Snaparoo: store and show your photos, deliver sends and asks, show your Feed, and show your stats and rank. - Show your photos only to the people you choose (see section 3). - Send notifications you've turned on, sign-in codes, and service emails. - Keep Snaparoo safe: prevent abuse, review reports, enforce our Terms, and detect and report child sexual abuse material. - Troubleshoot and improve Snaparoo. - Meet legal obligations. We don't sell your personal information, share it for targeted advertising, or track you across other companies' apps and websites.

3Who can see what

- Your profile (name, username, profile photo) is visible to other Snaparoo users. If "Discoverable in search" is on, people can find you by name, username, or exact email address. - Your photos are visible only to you unless you choose otherwise: albums set to Connections (including your Shared album) are visible to your connections, except any you've hidden it from; specific people you choose can view what you've shared with them; and anyone with a view link can view that album or photo in a browser until the link expires, is turned off, or the content is deleted. - Photos you send become the recipient's own copies once kept. - Guests who use your Ask link see your first name. - Reactions on a photo are visible to people who can see that photo.

4Service providers we share with

We share information only as needed to run Snaparoo, with providers who process it for us: - Cloudflare: hosting, storage, and security. - Resend: sending emails, such as sign-in codes and invitations. - Expo, Apple, and Google: delivering push notifications, and sign-in with Apple or Google if you use it. - Google Analytics: website visit statistics (website only). We may also share information to comply with the law or valid legal requests, to report child sexual abuse material to the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children, to protect the safety of people or Snaparoo, or as part of a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, in which case this policy continues to apply.

5How long we keep it

We keep your information while your account is open. When you delete your account, we delete your account, photos, and albums right away; copies others kept remain theirs, and photos you added to others' albums stay without your name. Unkept sends expire after a few days. Security logs are kept for a limited time, generally up to 90 days. We may keep limited information longer where the law requires it or to prevent abuse.

6Your choices

- Change your name, username, and profile photo in Account. - Choose who can see each album, share with specific people, and turn view links off. - Hide your Shared album from a specific connection, remove connections, and block people. - Turn "Discoverable in search" on or off. - Turn each notification type on or off. - Delete your account in the app. - Email support@snaparoo.me to request access to, correction of, or deletion of your information. California residents have the right to know what personal information we collect and how we use it, to request deletion or correction, and not to be treated differently for using these rights. We don't sell personal information or share it for cross-context behavioral advertising. If you're in the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom, you can ask to access, correct, delete, or receive a copy of your information, and to restrict or object to how we use it. We process your information to provide Snaparoo under our Terms, for our legitimate interests in keeping Snaparoo safe and working, with your consent (for example, notifications), and to meet legal obligations. You can also complain to your local data protection authority. Other places may give you similar rights, and we'll honor them.

7Children

Snaparoo isn't for children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect information from them. If we learn a child under 13 has an account, we'll delete it. If you think that's happened, contact us. Photos on Snaparoo may show children, shared by their parents, family, or others. We encourage checking with a parent or guardian before sharing photos of someone else's child. A parent or guardian can ask us to remove a photo of their child at support@snaparoo.me.

8Security

We protect your information with encryption in transit, access controls, signed and expiring image links, and limits on who can view each photo. No system is perfectly secure, so we can't guarantee absolute security. Our safety and moderation tools reduce harmful content, but they can't catch everything.

9Where we process information

Two Dog Media is based in the United States, and we process and store information in the United States and other countries where our providers operate.

10Changes

We may update this Privacy Policy. If a change is significant, we'll tell you in the app before it takes effect.
